prepatory, public school education.

Host screenings of Waiting for Superman for family and friends
Start a "movie chain" with the DVD
Blog and tweet encouraging everyone to see the film
Attend a Summit Public Schools "Get Informed" brown bag lunch
Lobby your local school board
Learn and share critical data about your local schools
Support / elect reform oriented school board members
Run for school board in your local district

Start a group to lead the creation of a Summit Public School
Show public support for new Summit schools
Volunteer your time and talent during the launch phase of a new Summit School
Join the board of a Summit Public School
Donate: It takes $5,000 to create every new seat in a Summit school -
               once created, the seat will in perpetuity prepare every student who sits
               in for college success on public school funding!

Be a guest speaker for Summit Career Day
Tutor a Summit student
Provide a "Back to School Backpack"
Mentor a Summit Student Intern
Organize and lead college tours for Summit students
Hire a Summit college grad – Coming May 2011!
Donate: Each year Summit Schools provide "scholarships" to the more than
               40% of our students who live in poverty

Sign the petition to "Protect Charter Schools"
